I couldn’t pass this up. Gene Kelly would have been 100 years old last week, and so, I give tribute to a great actor, dancer, and director.

Except for Xanadu. I’ll never understand why he consented to be in that atrocity.

Because of him, I always sing in the rain, dance on couches, and dream of a Brigadoon.

Omigawd…

I completely forgot to post an entry today.

I had a very early doctor’s appointment again, and then had to stop to gas up the vehicle on base, and then went to check out if the Le Creuset™ pot was on sale, which it was, and I got, and then came home to a whiny dog who had not been let out, which I rescued, and then to fold the rest of the laundry and then to start a Tres Leches cake which takes FOREVER, and then swing by the grocery store for last minute stuff for dinner, which I am about to go start.

It is on my List of Things for Aggie’s Birthday®. That’s a list I am now going to leave conspicuously pasted all over the house, starting in September. It’s never too late to start 😉

Wednesday Sithy

Yesterday we helped my BIL move into the barracks, so I fell behind with my chores. That means I am cheating and posting a Sithy, courtesy of my brother, who has the same sick sense of humor I do.

Eddie Izzard, Star Wars, and Legos. It’s a trifecta. Also, it may be a teeny bit NSFW, but still damn funny 😉

Order in Chaos

Today heralds the arrival of Eldest from her sojourn in the Houston area. That also means I will have guests this weekend, and thus follows that there will be stuff going on entertainment-wise.

That also means cleaning the house, grocery shopping, and a trip to the liquor store.

A trip to Crazyville is already on the schedule.

But I am not going to freak out and try to gourmet myself here. If I could serve a sloppy joe on a doughnut for brunch, I would. I will make it all self-serve, and provide paper plates and plastic utensils and perhaps napkins. After all, one can always use the garden hose outside. It’s days like these I wish I were in Fiji.

Vader has the right idea.

Saturday Stuff

I’m at the inlaws this weekend. FINALLY delivering Christmas presents. STOP JUDGING ME!!!

And when I return, I shall be enjoying a few episodes of The Walking Dead.

I’ll have to enjoy them as I unpack Hubby’s stuff from Egypt, and doing laundry and ironing his uniform. But hey, I am great at multitasking!!
