And Bianca’s not toast*.
I’m not a superstitious gal. Ok, I’m just a little stitious*. I like black cats, walk under ladders, have broken enough mirrors to have supposed “bad luck” until the year 59,326 AD, spill salt all over the kitchen, and open umbrellas indoors in order to make sure they work before I step into rain.
Who wants to be caught in a downpour with a broken umbrella?
Apparently there is a convergence of Cosmic Karma™ this evening. Not only is it Friday the 13th, but there will be a full moon as well. That means we will be going outside with my awesome Celestron™ telescope to watch the moon.
M-O-O-N!! That spells “moon”*.
I hope y’all enjoy the evening, and if you see any werewolves, send them to Trader Vic’s* 😉

Today finds me grieving for a friend. Friend on the blogs Roguetek sent news of his wife’s passing. Peonysong was a jewel. She was a sweet, thoughtful and giving person that NEVER took crap from anyone. She had a will of iron and the strength of whipcord, and never let anyone forget it. Her wish was to live her last days in Texas, and Roguetek made it come true.
I pray for strength and comfort for Roguetek and Peonysong’s family. I know she is now in God’s loving arms, free from pain, and now watching over him, for the job of a wife to take care of her other half never ends. And tonight before my prayers, I will have a “talk” with her, remembering the day we spent together while doing laundry 🙂
Rest in peace, my sweet friend!
For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.– John 3:16
Happy Easter, and may you be showered with blessings 🙂
This beautiful photograph was released in April for Hubble’s 21st Birthday:
The large galaxy, known as UGC 1810, is shown distorted into a rose-like shape by the gravitational tidal pull of the companion galaxy below it, known as UGC 1813.
Even the Universe is romantic 😉
Merry Christmas to everyone!!
May you be comforted with many blessings, big and small, in the coming year.
God bless y’all!!
It’s Christmas Eve, and we at Casa de Aggie will be cooking and baking and watching Christmas movies and praying for our families and our friends.
Merry Christmas to all, and may you rejoice in the Season, and blessings shower you in the coming year.
Wishing you love and happiness,
I only wish it would rain. That would lift my spirits, not bring me down. I never did understand that song by The Carpenters. Living in a tropical area growing up, rain was always punctual and always welcomed, and living in such a dry area now it is always appreciated when it falls. And now that I’m a mom, Mondays are a BLESSING. There is nothing more relaxing than drinking a hot cup of tea while watching rivulets of rain dance on your window.
I used to drive my mom crazy every afternoon while living in PR, because as soon as it started to rain, I was out the door. Eventually I stopped that habit, but I still love to watch the rain fall. It’s better than Prozac, and cheaper than therapy 😉
One of my favorite haunts is HubbleSite. I love me some astronomy! Of course, perusing that site eventually makes you pick and choose your favorites, even though the entire gallery is magnificent in scope and information. And this is one of mine:
A chocolate-covered cherry in the Cosmos.
This is V838 Monocerotis, and you are looking at the light echo from the red supergiant star, which illuminates the dust surrounding it.
Don’t forget: tonight is a full moon! Go outside and enjoy the heavens!!
