I Can’t Believe This is My 600th Post

And…have nothing to type about, really.

It’s Spring Break around here, which means I shall no longer enjoy peace and quiet. At least Hubby has the week off as well, so he can help me with the various squabbles and fights that will eventually spring up like mushrooms after rain. Hopefully the terms “co-operation” and “silence” will be applied liberally for my sake. But I doubt it.

Oh, and Son’s birthday is this week, too. Pizza and movie party is in the works, as is Valium™.

Not to worry, though. I shall keep myself occupied making stuff and cooking and purging and reorganizing, as is my lot in life. So before you can shed any tears for me, have a funny.

I bet this is true for a lot of people.

My Bleedin’ Heart

Hey, it’s Valentine’s Day!

I am a lucky gal today. Hubby surprised me. BIG TIME!! Yesterday, I gave myself a manicure, just in case. Why? Because I wanted my hands to look nice in case I got a pretty bauble. But no…. I GOT A KEURIG!!

Behold my new Precious!! The best part? Programmable!! The not-so-best part? Um, I can totally see myself drinking far more than my usual two cups.

Ok, like that’s a bad thing, right??

Anyway, I’m going to go make my third second cup. Y’all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!! *MUAH*

Some Stuff to Ponder

Just what y’all need: a random post about nothing.

Still, there comes a time, usually every three weeks or so, when I start wondering about certain unanswered questions.

1) Why did they never tell us how to get to Sesame Street??

2) I read, and re-read, but I can’t find where the nursery rhyme says Humpty Dumpty was an egg. Can you?

3) Why does MTV still claim to play music?

4) No matter how much we eat, how is it that we always have room for dessert?

Obviously, I didn’t have enough coffee. But I do have a Sithy.

Heh, and with that, I’m off to go get more coffee.

So Much For That…

Seeing as today is a half day at the schools here, I was going to take advantage of my solitude and wrap presents.

And that was the plan, until Son came down with a fever, and Hubby decided that he was staying home for his half day.

So I have been catering to two men at home, moving piles of gifts to and fro, drinking more than my allotted caffeine allowance for today. I am severely tempted to not wrap anything and instead throw them in garbage bags and write their names on the bags with a Sharpie™.

Who am I kidding??? I will totally have the gifts wrapped by tonight and be serving hot chocolate and popcorn to celebrate the start of the Christmas holidays. It’s what I do! But I will be grumbling about it.

My Inner Muse Has Laryngitis

I can’t think of anything to write for today. I have to go grocery shopping, and then have the kids help with decorations and cleaning. On the upside, I get to completely supervise. On the down side, anything on the tree that I can’t reach will necessarily stay there.

That goes for lights outside, too.

My house is the one on the right…
