I want to take time to thank my readers, commenters and lurkers alike, for coming by this itty bitty corner of the Blogaverse. There are many places like it, some far better, but this corner is mine. It means a lot to me that you would pause in your day to come by and read the fluff I post.
So here’s to y’all! Enjoy your last day of 2013 and bring in the New Year!
I hope it is filled with love, happiness and opportunity.
And chocolate and bacon wouldn’t go amiss, either π

Heck, I’m just here for the free (and tasty!) sarcasm!!!
…and the fact that nobody seems to question when I bring up claymores, napalm, woodchippers, or random rectangular patches of freshly-turned earth (smelling vaguely of lime) in the back yard….
December 31st, 2013 at 8:09 PM
What’s to question? I thought everyone did that stuff.
Happy New Year to you and yours π

May the coming New Year bring you and yours nothing but happiness, joy, and more cash than you know what to do with!!
Your little corner of the net is always an enjoyable spot to stop in at, and rest ones feet at. If you continue to serve the “free ice cream”, I will continue to make the occasional pithy comment!!
December 31st, 2013 at 8:15 PM
Will do!
And I hope the new year is better than the last one π

You know that you live in Wisconsin, when you go into work at 2300, and it’s -3, with 30 MPH winds, making it -35 with the wind chill. Yet, if the wind dies during the night, when you go to get in the Impala to drive home at 0700, you will stand out in the -4 air, and say, ” Wow, it’s really nice out! ” You can also remember the Christmas Eve of 1983, -25 below, with a gale blowing, and it bottomed out with -85 wind chills. We went 65 consecutive days that winter, where the daily high temp never broke 0F. I had a small orange tomcat named Tyrone at the time. Tyrone spent the winter of 83/84 under the Franklin stove, only coming out for meals, and to use the litter box. Then it was back under the stove! Tyrone was kind of a smart cat.

*I* would have lived under the stove, too π
