Looks like today is THAT day.
I have been up for seven hours and have accomplished absolutely nothing.
And I just remembered I have to make a few dozen Christmas cards.
And start the Thanksgiving menu.
And figure out how to fit 20 people in the house.
And oh yes, CLEAN HOUSE.
I’m going to go lay down now.

20 people in one house?
Maybe you could set up tents in the back yard.

Hm….
*goes to look at the Coleman website*

Twenty people? Wow, I don’t think I even know twenty people. I guess being anti-social has its benefits. 😉

I’m Hispanic AND Catholic. It’s a gift, and a curse 😀

I’m not making christmas cards this year. Puts too much stress on me.
And I have the whole family coming for Christmas. Why did I offer this year, when I haven’t been given much time off work? hmmm

Hm indeed!! 🙂

Take five decks of cards, shuffle them, toss them all into a mixing bowl, and stir it up nicely. As people come up the walkway, pull out a card. If they draw a Spade, or club, allow them in. If they draw a heart or diamond, direct them into the back yard where you’ve got your pungi-and-tiger-pit waiting. My statistics may be a bit rusty, but the way I figger it, you’ve now only got 10 guests, and one happy tiger. Win-win!

I can see why Serenity does the planning at your house 😀

Crap. You might have a point.
::quietly kicks shovel under desk::

Having a lie-down is the only logical response to that situation.
November 12th, 2013 at 7:29 PM
It worked, wouldn’t you know?? 😀
November 12th, 2013 at 7:52 PM
Offer coupons for people to stay at a motel instead?
November 12th, 2013 at 8:34 PM
There *is* a hotel right up the street 😀
November 12th, 2013 at 8:11 PM
Hire a friend to stand at the front door in Border Guard Green 🙂
November 12th, 2013 at 8:34 PM
It won’t work. It’s HIS side of the family 😀

I want to clean out my cabin, but it’s such a pain to have to rent a Bobcat.
November 13th, 2013 at 7:32 AM
They are cute little critters, though… 😉
November 13th, 2013 at 10:19 AM
MAKE Christmas cards? Damn, that’s hardcore.
November 13th, 2013 at 11:31 AM
Well, I have the time. If I were a government assassin I would just go to Hallmark 😀
November 14th, 2013 at 10:18 AM
What are these “cards” of which you speak?
November 14th, 2013 at 1:29 PM
I am sooo jealous of that statement. You have no idea.
November 17th, 2013 at 8:19 PM
I’m hoping that’s 20 people for dinner and not 20 people actually staying at your house. My in-laws only fit 14 in their house by having four bathrooms – boy, did I chew out my nephew for taking most of an hour in the bathroom.
As for dinner, paper plates and plastic utensils. Red Solo cups with names in Sharpie. Just sayin’,
November 17th, 2013 at 9:33 PM
Oh, I am fitting 20 people in my house.
*sobs uncontrollably*

Rent a porta-potty and buy one of those bales of TP from Costco.
