Sorry for my absence around here. I have been busy hosting our internet friend Tiberius this week. It was rather unexpected but very welcomed, though cramming a bunch of stuff in six days is proving to be a challenge.
This has been the proposed itinerary:
- Find acceptable costume with which to scare little kids: Check.
- Stock up the bar with booze to try: Check.
- Tour the caverns and make fun of idiots on the road: Check.
- Try Tex-Mex food: Scheduled.
- Stock up on chocolate candy: Check.
- Gorge on junkfood: scheduled.
- THE ALAMO: Damn skippy it’s scheduled.
- Meet up with internet friends: Scheduled.
- Gun range: Scheduled.
- Attend autopsy*: Um, scheduled….
This is just for this week. He plans on coming back and staying for Thanksgiving. Apparently, Australians don’t have a similar celebration. Unless you count Julia Gillard’s ousting. Everyone was thankful for that.
So, things are busy and fun. And tomorrow will be popping what with last minute Halloween stuff. So if y’all will excuse me, I’m off to finish making my wand 😉
*Not mine, so there.

Oh and we are nearly out of beer. After this beer, and that other beer, there is only one beer left!
October 30th, 2013 at 5:07 PM
And then we move to scotch.
I fail to see the problem here 😉

If he drinks enough, will he “remember the Alamo”?
October 30th, 2013 at 5:08 PM
If he doesn’t, I’ll make sure he takes photo evidence, just in case 😀
October 30th, 2013 at 5:17 PM
Take him to the Shiner brewery!
October 30th, 2013 at 5:21 PM
I wish I had time this trip. Maybe the next time he’s here 🙂

After the beer, vodka, scotch, vodka, gin, vodka, and oh yes, more vodka….will you have a Tiberius Recks on your hands??? (Though I have been with a few intrepid Australian aviation types, back in the day, they would fall under the heading of Professional drinkers ™ so perhaps this is not an issue.
October 30th, 2013 at 8:30 PM
Seems not to be an issue with him 😀

Sounds like a good time. 🙂 Green with envy for you and your guest. We don’t get to do fun things on Thanksgiving ever since the in-laws decided that they would spend their Christmases in Florida and pitch passive-aggressive pouts if we don’t do Thanksgiving with them. My favorite Thanksgiving is still the one where we had several imaginary internet friends come into town and stay. I love feeding crowds of people. 🙂

I hear ya!
I also hope my mom isn’t reading this 😀

#10 sounds interesting. And the gun range and the Alamo. Both required.
Oh so much fun at AggieHaus.
November 1st, 2013 at 6:49 AM
That means a lot coming from you 😀
November 1st, 2013 at 8:44 AM
So, Miss Aggie, what was your costume? And, will little children be going to a pshrink for the rest of their lives due to the traumatic fright they received from it?

I was the BOOZE FAIRY 😀
And more than likely 😉

I went to my neighbors and told them, “Trigger treat”, but not a one of them gave me a box of ammo. What’s wrong with these people? 😀
November 4th, 2013 at 12:14 PM
I have to remember that for next year 😀
