Officially, it is fall. In Texas, it’s Summer v. 2.4, but we still like to pretend there is a seasonal change. Even the foliage turns several shades of burnt brown. Anyway, with the advent of fall, we get to enjoy pumpkin everything: cookies, pie, cake, muffins, coffee, and of course, BOOZE!!!!
And I much prefer pumpkin everything to ginger everything in winter, or as we call it, Summer v. 2.6.
- 1 ½ oz. Tuaca, or vanilla brandy.
- ½ oz. Triple Sec
- 1 tsp. Pumpkin puree (canned pumpkin)
- ½ oz. Simple syrup
- Pinch of allspice
- Grated nutmeg for garnish
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well, and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a sprinkle of nutmeg.
Finally, a reason to open the damn Tuaca 😀
