Yes, I’m there. Ok, I’m there all the time, but I seem to have reached maximum capacity for this stuff.

I know how you feel about being overwhelmed. We took youngest to college on Sunday. Preparing her for departure was exhausting. Helping her to move into the room was no picnic either. I took today off to recover from the long weekend.

Believe it or not, I myself am anxious for the kids to go back to school and get into the full swing of things. It means a saner wife and the kids actually benefit from structure and a healthy amount of boredom.

Yesterday was the day for it. The various clubs take turns manning the concession stand for the home football games. I did my part and volunteered for the night for my son’s club. I’m one of 2, and the volunteer coordinator is FREAKING OUT. I tried to calm her down by saying that the game is TWO MONTHS AWAY, and I’m sure people are kind of busy right now to worry about something that far in the future. I’m sure you can guess how well that worked.
