Ugh….
I hate laundry. I have no problem washing and drying, or even ironing.
I just hate folding all that crap.
I have no problems with cleaning bathrooms, or washing cars, or cleaning ovens, or even disposing of intelligent life found in my refrigerator.
But I absolutely loathe folding clothes.
Am I the only one?? 😉

I’m right there with you…folding clothes HAS to be my least favorite chore. Makes my back hurt 😦 I think what I really need is a folding table that is about chest high… Then I will just feel more vertically challenged than usual LOL
February 1st, 2013 at 3:30 PM
I don’t care how high the table is. I still hate it 😀

I have noticed I liked laundry better at the laundry mat then at home, something about washing and drying with multiple machines appeals to me rather than washing at home with one machine as is the case now.
I pull all the hot out of the dryer clothes into a basket and then set it on a chair and use the dining table if there is too much to stack on the ironing board. Bending over will wear a person out fast.

I think being in a laundromat forces you to do it. I can always find excuses at home NOT to do laundry…

Discipline. Pick a day of the week dedicated to laundry.
February 1st, 2013 at 9:00 PM
YOU’RE NOT MY MOM!!! 😆
February 1st, 2013 at 10:32 AM
Nope. It all sux.
February 1st, 2013 at 3:31 PM

February 1st, 2013 at 7:29 PM
Ok, seriously? Folding laundry? @@
February 1st, 2013 at 9:00 PM
Yeah, seriously 😛
February 1st, 2013 at 7:29 PM
Wait…you don’t still do your kids’ laundry do you?
February 1st, 2013 at 9:01 PM
Hella NO!! They do their own. But I do have linens and towels…
February 3rd, 2013 at 11:29 AM
Ah yes. I’d forgotten about the horror and heartbreak of converting large rectangular shapes into smaller parallelograms.
February 4th, 2013 at 6:51 AM
I don’t mind the horror so much as I do the bountifulness of it 😀
February 1st, 2013 at 9:01 PM
Oh, and countless uniforms…..

I like folding laundry because then I know it’s done right. God knows, I love The Wife, but sweet baby Moses water skiing up the Yellow River, she can’t fold or iron at all. Maybe I should teach her how to polish boots. Trade a pair of shiny footwear for each ironed blouse/skirt/slacks….
Yeah, that’ll happen.
February 1st, 2013 at 9:01 PM
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
February 2nd, 2013 at 12:04 AM
Yep, me too. Another problem I have is with doing dishes – or more specifically, all the odd size plastic containers, bowls, and utensils that are a pain to clean and just won’t fit or stack anyplace neatly. Your standard flatware, pots and pans, and silverware I have no problem with.
February 2nd, 2013 at 7:50 AM
It drives my kids nuts 😉
February 2nd, 2013 at 7:45 AM
You have the same laundry baskets I have in The Badger’s Burrow! HUZZAH!
February 2nd, 2013 at 7:49 AM
It’s like we are laundry twinkies or something 😀
February 2nd, 2013 at 7:51 AM
Or we both shop at Family Dollar.
February 2nd, 2013 at 8:57 AM
Awesome place 😀
February 2nd, 2013 at 9:22 AM
Only thing I hate folding are fitted sheets. And life is too short to try to fold those right. Otherwise, it must appeal to my inner OCD. I don’t mind it much. Makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something. Plus, the clothes hot from the dryer feel nice. 🙂
February 2nd, 2013 at 12:31 PM
Ironically, I don’t mind fitted sheets. Thanks to Martha Stewart, and her stay at Camp Cupcake, I learned how to fold them 😀
February 2nd, 2013 at 12:15 PM
Fitted sheet get wadded up and tossed in the bottom of the linen closet. Who the hell is gonna see them? When they’re on the bed, they’re hidden by (the previously neatly folded) top sheet and pillows.
As soon as the dryer dings, I grab the stuff out, and shake it out, lay it flat on my bed. Then I use a flip-fold tool to neatly fold my shirts. Other stuff either gets hung in the closet, or kinda just stuffed in the dresser.
February 2nd, 2013 at 12:32 PM
You know, spiders love to find linens on the corners. Very cozy for them. Just FYI 😉
February 2nd, 2013 at 10:05 PM
Yep. Its the folding I hate. I’ve seriously considered taking my clothes to the cleaners for that very reason.
But that would require leaving the house …. which would require putting on pants … so the day would already be ruined.
February 4th, 2013 at 6:47 AM
Totally a losing proposition. 🙂
February 4th, 2013 at 6:06 AM
Nope, laudry sucks. Dishes I don’t mind, as I can always fit twice as much in the dishwasher than if my wife did it. (her spacial(sp?) relations suck ass) same with putting groceries in the fridge. So, I leave the laundry to her.
February 4th, 2013 at 6:50 AM
I wish I could delegate that this to Hubby. But he can NOT be trusted to fold. He goes by the Bill Cosby Rule: mess it up so she stops you and sends you away, which is what you wanted to do in the first place 😀
February 4th, 2013 at 6:43 AM
Yup, folding clothes is the worst. And women’s clothes are harder to fold than men’s, for some reason.
February 4th, 2013 at 6:51 AM
I hear ya 🙂
