And thank goodness it’s over.
This year was hard. Some people would tell me that it only made me stronger. Not really. I found I was able to withstand more, but that doesn’t mean strength, necessarily. But all the bad things made me realize just how truly blessed I am. For the first time in years I don’t find myself looking back at the passing year, but rather looking forward to the coming one. I used to think my glass was half empty, and then I started thinking it was half full.
But the truth is there’s a waiter somewhere who needs to fill it π
HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!!

Too early for that pronouncement. Get back to me in 364 days and I’ll let you know… π

My bright spot of the year is connecting with a fellow Former Student who I had not known previous and finding out she’s pretty darn neat. π

“But the truth is thereβs a waiter somewhere who needs to fill it”
That is just perfect.

Should be our new mantra π
December 31st, 2012 at 11:07 AM
Happy New Year, and may this year be better than the last.
December 31st, 2012 at 11:30 AM
I pray that is so, and same to you!!

Screw waiting for the waiter. Sometimes ya just gotta grab the bottle and refill your own glass. Or drink straight from the bottle.
May your year be filled with minions who’s lack of faith you do not find disturbing, adult beverages staged in convenient places at just the right time, and tubes of superglue that never run dry.
December 31st, 2012 at 11:30 AM
HAHAHAHA!!!
I’m never going to live down the superglue, am I??
Hope y’all have a wonderful New Year!

Not that cheap stuff you’ve been sniffin, no.
BTW…for some reason, I’m never called to give toasts. I dunno why….
December 31st, 2012 at 7:58 PM
You and Hubby both….
Also, can’t imagine why….
And…I couldn’t type that with a straight face π

December 31st, 2012 at 10:48 PM
Happiest of 2013’s. I’m sort of feeling the same-I’m actually looking forward and not totally bedraggled mentally, even though it was a rough 2012.
January 1st, 2013 at 9:02 AM
I think last year was rough on everyone π
Happy ’13 to you as well!

Waiter, there’s a fly in my Year.
I know what you mean about 2012, it was the worst year I’ve had since 1999, and You know how bad that year was for me. I’m optimistic about this year, because frankly I don’t have anywhere to go but back Up again. :op
I grew up hearing the superstition that if you ring in the new year with a single dollar in your pocket, it will be a prosperous new year. Last year I was so broke the dollar was 3 quarters 2 dimes and a nickle. This year I actually had a Real paper dollar in each pocket, with my arms around my pups as we watched the ball drop. It’s gonna be a Good year. π

I hope and pray that it is for you, my friend!!
