Well, next up is New Year’s Eve.
I am…. not a fan. It’s not that I don’t enjoy company or parties. It’s just that in my opinion, it’s just another day.
Ironically, I have plans for it this year. Not one party, but TWO!!
I’m not sure if that means two outfits. I hope it does.
All I know is that it means staying up past my bedtime. So much for my beauty sleep π

But if the Mayan calender was off by just ten days, this one could be one to remember for all time…Oh wait, you can’t do that if it is the end of time.
Yeah, we don’t do anything special on New Year’s Eve, either. It is just another midnight to me.

Glad to know I’m not the only one π

I’ve always considered New Year’s Eve to be amateur night. Us alcoholics usually stay home as the roads are damn right dangerous with fools that aren’t used to driving drunk. π

For the better part of a decade, my New Years tradition was to be at home, slightly intoxicated, & playing MUDs at the stroke of midnight. The trick is to show up at the party at say 9:30, get a couple of galsses of cheap wine in, & then just disappear on the way to the bathroom at around 10:30-10:45. That way everybody thinks you’re cool, but not so cool that you have to stay or the whole slog.

New Years has always been an excuse for me to put off changing things for another 10 days or a month. “I’ll start X on the first day of the new year…” Yeah, right. π

I need at the very least 27.4 hours a day in order to look presentable. You can guess how often that happens π
