Middle of November, and guess what? I have barely made a dent in holiday plans.
It happens every year. I make plans, lists, calls, plans, more plans, and come November, all of the plans have been changed so often that no one knows where we are going, what we are doing, who we are visiting, and more importantly why we are screaming.
Ok, the family knows why I’m screaming. They manage to tune it out, though.
So, due to miscommunication, we will be staying home for Thanksgiving. That means shopping for turkey, trimmings, and the like.
Lucky for moi, I have all that stuff down now.
I just hope that the week goes by quickly. No telling how much Skyrim music I can take while basting the roast š

If you’re having trouble making a dent in your holiday plans, try using a bigger hammer. Pneumatic, if necessary. Besides, there’s always room at the table up here in the Dallas area!
…and please, tell me that your hair looks NOTHING like that…

My hair actually looked like that….
….when I was six š

Sounds like you need to say “Fuck it. You are all on your own” and go off on your own somewhere to some south pacific paradise for a couple of weeks

Denny’s for Thanksgiving isn’t nearly as depressing as it sounds. Trust me.

On the other hand, Waffle House for Thanksgiving is pretty much rock-bottom.

Never been to one…. *crosses self*

We’ve done Denny’s and IHOP, and it’s nice!

You lucky duck. I’d love to stay home. Instead we go to the inlaws and then I make Orphans Thanksgiving the following day. If either set family were suitable to mix with the rest if the world we could do it all together. Alas, the very idea just leads to visions of the apocalypse – the FIL with no editor and the perpetually offended brother… Together with assorted Indians and an English family also with no editors…not a pretty picture

Maybe, but if you did, it would be the LAST time, and epic to boot š

I’m cooking the turkey for the first time this year! The Parental Units are in charge of everything else. I’m going to brine and deep fry this bird. We’re going down to Whole Foods to pick it up tomorrow.

Deep fried turkey is DA BOMB!!
