I swear, no matter how early I get up, I still run late posting here.
This weekend we had Nomstress and her hubby Nightflyer as our guests. As usual, we had a lot of fun enjoying the company and laughing about people we know. Mostly my relatives. Anyway, Hubby was scrolling through the movies available On Demandβ’, when he spied one of our favorite BS meter movies: The Core.
And then he decided to make it a drinking game.
Since I had seen the movie before, I knew I would have been sloshed by the first fifteen minutes, so I passed on it and remained sober. Needless to say, the results were epic. I must admit I relished being the sober one, because it left me free to poke fun at the others. I felt the power, and it was GOOD!!!
I may be a lightweight, but I ain’t stupid π

Dangit…I’d mostly managed to forget that movie. Now here ya go, having to bring it back up again. Arrg! Must go surf Hungarian Goatporn to rid my braincell of the unwanted memories!!!

Wait, Beerfest or The Core??
July 23rd, 2012 at 2:10 PM
The Core…is that the one where the giant ball of molten stainless steel stops spinning and turns the Earth’s magnetic field off? Then they restart it with a couple of nuclear firecrackers?
Never saw it. My Holy-Sh!t-You-Asses-Aren’t-Even-Trying-o-Meter exploded.
(edited because it’s a family-friendly blog π )

And now you see why I opted for sobriety π

Why stay sober and protracting the pain of watching the movie. At least drunk most of the movie would be a blur, if even remembered at all.

But I like remembering. It makes blackmail easier π

The Core. Augggg!

One of the few times that Sci-Fi Channel actually did a better rip-off than the flick.
But only because Bruce McGill was in it π

Dang. SciFi channel remake was better than the movie? That is probably the most scathing review of a film I’ve ever read. Ebert’s head just exploded (hopefully).

From your fingertips… π

I absolutely refused to watch the movie because it couldn’t even do bad science/engineering. Just the previews tore the fabric of space and time.
No, I will stick with Sharktopus and Zombie Strippers – or any old Bruce Campbell movies.
What word do you drink on when watching “The Core”? The word “core”?
I remember watching Newhart years ago. Somebody had the bright idea that every time someone said “Dick” you were supposed to take a drink. Funny, I don’t remember how any of the episodes ended.
We sure were stupid back then. I mean, seriously… Newhart??

They chose to drink every time there was a fracturing of Natural Laws.
Had they played for the word “core” they would still be in the ICU.
Is it bad that I’m still laughing about Newhart? π

Wanna really get smashed? Watch either version of “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas”. Take a drink every time someone says a word with “who” in it. Like Whoville, who-pudding, etc.

I would die of alcohol poisoning π

Yes, but such a lovely finish!

Tip the boot before the bubble hits.

THANK YOU!!!
I knew SOMEONE would say it π
July 23rd, 2012 at 8:48 PM
I actually saw that one in the theater. Why? I have NO idea.
July 23rd, 2012 at 10:11 PM
Boredom? Bet? Bingo?? π

Fracturing of natural laws? You can’t even make the first commercial.
Oh, that’s right, there weren’t any. I guess there is something to say for network TV.
