I have been asked to extend the challenge date by a few days. It seems that some of you prefer to write a more in-depth story than *ahem* some of us. I think mine was going to be three paragraphs, tops. Possibly four, if the wine is good.
If you want to post it on Monday, that’s fine. But those who need longer can just post any time this week. And since this is a short post, I might as well show you what I almost bought today.
That sound you hear is Hubby sighing in relief.
Have fun writing!

Those chickens are so cool! I have a friend who kicked her neighbors chicken and it pecked her toe. She needed shots. Ever since then, my hubby gifts her with chicken art.

Hmm. No picture or link to the thing that you almost bought?

Nevermind. For whatever reason it just showed up.
Why wouldn’t you buy a steel banty rooster? It makes no sense not too.

One of my favorite blog stories evah!
On Hwy 231 between Troy and Dothan is a giant metal chicken, made mostly of VW bumpers. CLUCK!

Oh man…I need to see that before I die!!!

I saw that one a while back and thought it was still a great idea as well as a fantastically written story. I stand by my question asking why one wouldn’t buy a giant steel banty rooster.
It just makes sense to have one on hand in case something happens.
I’m still working on what “something” means.

Do you remember how much they were? Because 15 years is BIG METAL CHICKEN, and Daddy kind of missed that, so…I’m thinking of talking him into making up for that…or, ya know, something…

We have a lot of rooster dish towels. Does that count? LOL! And for yard ornaments I like putting cute doggie statues in my garden.

Posted my response to your challenge. At least the first part of it. Gonna take a day or two to get it down. Enjoy!
Oh, and uh, it might get somewhat scary. Not in the first part, but definitely towards the end, it’s gonna have some scary moments.
