No Thanksgiving is ever the same in our family. But here are some things I learned this time around:
- My family prefers apple pies over cherry or pumpkin. They are heretics.
- Baking the turkey in an oven bag is a lifesaver.
- A turkey STILL only has two drumsticks, so do a lottery next time to determine who gets them.
- Avoiding the “What the hell is that supposed to mean??” question will make for a very peaceful day.
- It is perfectly acceptable to lay about in a comatose state. It is also acceptable to rise from comatose state to get more food to further enhance the comatose state
.
I hope y’all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Now I am off to the mall with the girls.
Prayers are welcome 😉

I’m always believed that after a good Thanksgiving dinner the living room should look like a mass suicide scene with comatose family members sprawled out all over and in odd positions.

Back from the mall, and it wasn’t bad at all. We go to a dead mall anyway, so that was a plus 🙂

Call Torquemada, because I prefer the apple pie, too!

Same here, except we prefer homemade cheesecake for Thanksgiving.
This year’s flavor was blueberry.

Definitely have to go with Apple Pie. Pecan pies are awesome too, but apple pie is the best.

we always had turkey for Christmas and for years my mother used to say “who wants the drumsticks?” like it was the biggest treat in the world. My brother and I would always say “Me, me” and feel really happy when she gave them to us. It took me YEARS to realise that the breast meat was much nicer
