“Surrender”? What is this strange French word of which you speak? It must be an artefact left over from the King’s English after that little kerfuffle that started in 1776.
Oh, BTW, the “Foist!” was a tongue-in-cheek homage to one of your fellow countrymen who used to get his knickers in a bunch (underneath his kilt, of course) whenever someone posted that in a thread at the AAR.
